   FAQs - Routers & Firewalls:

Which Ports have to be opened in a Firewall so that the local camera can be accessed from the Internet?

The camera operates on two ports which need to be opened in a Firewall.

    1. Web Server Port (default value = 80)
    2. Image Transfer Port (default value = 8080)

The Ports can be changed in the camera´s ADMINISTRATOR MENU, section NETWORK CONFIGURATION.

-> If you plan to upgrade the camera´s firmware remotely you must also open port 9000.

Attention Users of Norton Internet Security!
Port 8080 is being used by Norton Internet Security, therefore you must change the camera's Image Transfer Port from "8080" to something else, i.E. "8081".
